Darkness. A freezing, black, bottomless substance.

It slid past her, through her, taking her down and suspending her. Those cold and stony finger grasping at her.
Nothing. She was nothing, simply a empty shell forsaken in this dark void. The girl drifted, her emotionless eyes the deepest red anyone has seen. Her white silk dress fitting her well shaped body with long flowing sleeves.

She opened her deep red eyes for the first time she can remember. And saw nothing but black. Forever going, never stopping, never ending. She blinked, she didn't know what to make of this. Was she suppose to be scared? Lonely? Sad? Shocked? She didn't have an answer to that. It was just...there, nothing was bothering her. But why? She didn't even want to move or to panic.
It took her a while to find a response to this, but it was only a simple question.

"What...am I?" she wondered to her self. Her voice seemed to echo around her. It sounded through her yet her lips did not move. She waited, and of course nothing happened. That is until something respond.
                                
"We're the same..."
A calming voice answered her. It was deep, but some how soft and kind.

The girl tilted her head slightly, she didn't expect that to happen. "What?" she wondered, her lips completely still. Yet who, or what ever was out there heard her.

"We're the same." it repeated, "You and me. I fact, their is no 'you and me' Your me, You have always been me. And i've always been you. And the only reason I'm speaking to you like this is because you wont accept it." the soft voice seemed to echo, softly wrapping its self around her.

Black water, cold, darkness and falling was all she felt as the voice paused.

"You know what I can give you. You can feel it, swelling in you. In your body, in your blood. Strength without limit or consequence. Power beyond imagination and possibility. All you have to do is accept who your really are."

"But...who am I? What am I?" the girl reasoned back. Something was happening, and it was catching her attention.

"Your me." the voice repeated in a soft coo.

The girl took in a slow deep breath and found it so cold and chilling. She slowly looked around the void, hoping to see the owner of the soft voice. But nothing was there.

"Where am I?" she 'groaned' her lips still not moving, letting her body go limp again the odd sensation between falling and floating holding her.

"In darkness." it answered.

"Dark..ness?" She repeated, the word like a exotic language to her.

"Im...not living am I?" she asked placing her hand over her chest. Their was no pulse...so that meant....
"No ...of course not."

"Why not?" the voice questioned.

No pulse...nothing living inside.

"I...have no heart. Living things need a heart." She 'whispered'.

"Correct, but then, how are you a part of me if your not living?" the voice calmly asked.

The girl jolted causing her to spin into a up right position. She looked at her self. Arms, legs, hands, it all belonged to some strange creature. Her body...was human. She was here...but still some thing bothered her.

"But do I...even exist?" she placed a hand on her head and felt long silky hair between her fingers. She then lowered her hand and felt as the darkness flowed through her and past her. It was like a liquid. Freezing, flowing, piercing. She could touched the darkness, she could feel it. She let out a shaky 'sigh'.

"I can touch it. If I can feel, then I do exist."

"Does it make you happy?"

"Happy?" she closed her eyes. "...No...I cant.......feel that." no heart, no emotion.

"Then why do you exist?" the soft voice seemed to harden to a commanding power.

"I...dont know." The girl hung her head, her long black-purple hair falling over her face.

"You exist to be me. You exist to be mine. Just say it!" The voice commanded. The softness in it was completely washed away, replaced by some thing evil and powerful. But it didnt matter. Something to live for. A purpose is what was being offered to her, and she found she wanted nothing more then that.

"I am your..." the girl was cut off.
Urgently, as if the owner was standing right next to her, another voice whispered in her ear.
"Remember your past." it was so light, protective.

"My past?"

"What are you doing? SAY IT!" The dark voice roared.

"The one thing you truly want." the light voice continued.

The girl closed her eyes, what she wanted? A past? Did she really have these?

"I cant remember. I cant remember anything." She 'cried' to the light voice.

"DO IT NOW! WE MUST HAVE YOUR POWER! WE MUST LIVE!" the dark voice continued to scream "YOU'LL KILL US! YOU MONSTER! DO IT NOW AND RULE! SAY IT!"

The girl looked up ward into the dark. Monster?
Some thing flashed in the girls mind causing her to 'scream' in agony and pain.
Memories of blood and murder. Of pain and hate of others screaming at her and stabbing her screaming monster, monster, monster. She kills to live! Murder! Killer! Die! What are you?!?
A picture of her crying, her mouth and face covered in the blood of another and the body laying in front of her. "What's happening? Why? Why cant I stop!" she cried.
"All I want...all I want is to stop. All I want is someone to help me." she cried. The humans blood pouring over the ground. "What am I?"

Then some thing came through the door of the shed, black and human shaped its face was cover in a hood. But it looked down at her with piercing gold eyes. Slowly it extended a glove hand. And she took it.
"You will belong to kingdom hearts now." the black thing said, and shoved a sword through her chest. Strangely she smiled at the figure just as a drop of blood rolled down the corner of her mouth.
"Thank you." she whispered as darkness engulfed her heart and she disappeared.   


The memory stopped, the pain becoming nothing but a dull buzz in her skull.

She stayed silent ignoring the horrid screaming from the dark voice.

"A second chance." she whispered.

"I will give you a new life, only for you to decide." the light voice said.

"Who are you?" she questioned.

"Your only key to salvation and your memories." the voice responded. "It is time...untill we meet again...." the voice echoed in a sad voice as a light flashed through the surrounding black. And the sensation of falling filled her. Distant voices echoed in her head. Their orders clear, but that one soft voice was the only thing she could listen to
as she fell.

"Forgive me" It said.

For a few seconds she was in blinding white light as she fell, fresh crisp air was flying around her. She was in free fall, and then, crushing pain.

"Forgive me. Kingdom Hearts..." it said as the pain engulfed her.
